Vincent Thomas Bridge

Finding inspiration everywhere you go:
Over the summer my daughter went to ‪Catalina‬ with the high school church group. She departed and returned from the San Pedro ‪‎Catalina Express. On Sunday when she returned I went with my wife to pick her up. As my wife went to the gate to greet her I wandered around the parking lot looking at the incredible view from the base of the ‪Vincent Thomas Bridge‬.
I have been to the VTB area before looking and searching for what I would consider a good angle to photograph the bridge I had even been to this side of the bridge and driven around this area but never finding a composition that I liked until this day. Pulling into the parking lot of the Catalina Express (that is off of the beaten path) I knew I found the angle I have been searching for. But to make sure I wandered around looking for an unobstructed view of the bridge and putting it in my memory for a future photography session. A few other things I noticed was: Parking was open, 1st hour of parking was free and no security to ask me to leave.
Some months later I was able to come back and photograph the VTB and I am now posting the results.
As a photographer I am not sure the brain ever turns off of what could be. ‬
